******** SPOILERS *********

Sorry for the delay in getting this up. Last night's episode wasn't all that exciting for me...except for the very end where I really wasn't sure who he was going to eliminate. I'll break down this week's recap on a person-by-person basis.

Jake: His face / the faces he makes are killing me. I'm not sure I've ever wanted to punch someone in the face more than him. And that's saying a lot considering the amount of reality tv I watch. He's seriously annoying. I know Jason's been saying this from Day 1, but his conversation skills are probably the worst I've ever seen. Really pay attention to his conversations. He literally ONLY talks about a) the current date they are on and its surroundings (aka "This is so beautiful" or "This is just terrific") or b) he goes into obvious-series-question mode (aka "What do you feel about marriage?"). Does he seriously not have anything else to talk about? YOU'RE A PILOT! I assume you've travelled a lot more than the average person. Do you have anything at all interesting to talk about? Do we know anything about Jake outside of what he does on the show? Does he have siblings? Where did he go to school? Has he lived in Texas his whole life? What other hobbies does he have? We literally only know that he's a douche, he is a pilot, he sucks at talking, he's from Texas and he occasionaly puts idiotic girls in their place by eliminating them right away. Urgh. I'm frustrated.

Tenley: Clearly, for me at least, she is still at the top of my Power Rankings. Lizzie pointed this out last night, though: she doesn't look like she's ready for a new relationship at all. I feel like she would completely self-destruct the moment she had to face some kind of adversity. It's all good when you're going on these crazy dates for a reality show. But what happens if she wins and then all these rumors pop up about Jake cheating on her or having other relationships (this always happens after the show ends -- truthful or not)? Think she'll be able to keep it together like Jillian did last year with Ed? I don't.

Gia: #2 in my Power Rankings. While I really don't think they are compatible outside of the show (pilot from Texas + stereotypical girl from NYC), somehow they seem pretty good for each other on the show. I would have never guessed that she would be kind of laid back and super cheesy from Day 1. The "Is it ok to fall" line was one of the worst things I've ever heard on tv.

Ali: #3 in my Power Rankings. I feel like she thinks she's on Survivor because she's playing a remarkable strategic game. Super manipulating imo. She's a bitch when she's not around Jake, but then when she's with Jake she gives him just enough to keep him super interested. Plus, she's probably the best conversationalist out of the girls who are left. The whole "back rub in the park, now let me straddle you with a skirt and dangle my boobs over your face" was a great move. I'm sure Jake was thinking "dirty thoughts" then (I can't believe he said that during the show). I don't know if my prediction for her being the next Bachelorette will happen now that she's shown she's pretty bitchy. Although, the other girls (not Vienna) seem to actually like her. And there is a precedent for bitchy girls being the next Bachelorette (DeAnna).

Vienna: #4. I hate her. I don't know what else to say. She acts like someone who thinks she's spoiled and rich, but probably really isn't. I don't get it. I will say that I am interested to see what kind of family she has.

Corrie: For a little bit I actually thought Jake was going to keep her after she dropped the "I'm a virgin" bomb on him. I didn't think he'd have the balls to say "That doesn't bother me at all" and then kick her off right after that. But he did. Also, the non-kiss in the boat was one of the more awkward things I've seen.

Thoughts?
