  • Now here's a sweet timelapse. For the full story behind the video, click this link.

  • Survivor Fans - "CBS To Premiere 'Survivor: Heroes vs Villians' During People's Choice"
  • A new couch potato has been crowned. The Chicago Couch Potato Championships just concluded and some dude won by watching televised sports for about 72 hours straight. It was his third win in a row. Why haven't we tried to enter Bill in this contest?
  • Pearl Jam is giving away a free download to their new song "Just Breath" if you send a tweet about it. I'm posting this for three reasons. 1) I like Pearl Jam a lot and want to support them and 2) I think this is just another reason why Twitter is sweet. I've posted a bunch of times on this site why I am confused that people still think Twitter is only "another form of an away message". Anyway, if you don't have a Twitter account yet then you should really think about it. I finally convince Lindsay Anderson to get one (@lindzanderson)...I know I can convince some more of you. And if you have an iPhone you really have no excuse not to get one. Reason 3) I think it's really cool how Pearl Jam has embraced advertising and promotion from a technology standpoint. The two main things I'm talking about is this Twitter example and how they pre-released their latest album, in full, on Rock Band. That's badass and I hope more bands follow their lead.
  • A record has recently been broken for most expensive VIRTUAL item ever sold...some dude paid $333,000 for a virtual property in the game Planet Calypso. That's insane. For those too lazy to read the actual article, here's a hilarious quote:
“This is a stunning investment opportunity, and I have complete faith I will recover what I spent relatively quickly. To say Planet Calypso has changed my life would be an understatement. I have even found the love of my life in the game, and now we live together in real life. I feel very confident about purchasing the Crystal Palace Space Station as I have already invested years of time, dedication, work, hope and love. All of those things have already paid off more than I could have ever imagined. With the new game engine, new features and almost ten years of experience Planet Calypso is one of the few safe investments in this economy.”
