Welp, Christmas is over. Not surprisingly, I'm a bit relieved. As always it was an eventful Christmas full of food, booze, and late-night runs through the snow. Oh, and also presents. As I said on Twitter, "[Lizzie and I] def won the gift exchange competition. Wait, it's not a competition and the goal isn't to have the best strategy and get the best gifts? Oh...". Lizzie ended up with a Sony Blu-Ray Player (despite the huge disadvantage of going first in the swap) and I ended up with a really nice signed bottle of wine plus a year-long membership to E&J Gallo's wine club (good for 8 more bottles of wine and solid discounts -- thanks @MarcelDurden). Mark actually ended up with a brand new Kindle, which is pretty badass.
Lizzie's gift for the exchange was one of those new Flip cameras. My mom's brother ended up with that after a solid strategic move to own my dad.
And my gift for the exchange was a sweet combo of gifts for making margaritas which included:
My cousin who just graduated college ended up with that -- which I was pretty happy about.
All-in-all a solid exchange.
