Some of you follow me on Twitter, some of you don't. For those that don't, I'm sure I've mentioned to you at some point that you should get a Twitter account. Most of the time I get a response basically saying that they think it's stupid to tweet what you're doing (kind of like another type of away message). I then try to explain that Twitter is much more than an expanded away message. I try to to also explain that I often use it to link people to articles / videos / photos. It's a great way to spread the word about something you think is interesting / noteworthy. It's also a great way to stay up to date on things you are interested in. Anyway, I always have a hard time with my explanation of why Twitter is such a powerful tool. Well, I ran across this article (found using Twitter obviously), titled "How To Use Twitter for a Product Launch". It is just another example of why Twitter is much more than an "away message".
Unfortunately, I'm assuming only the people that are on Twitter already will click that link and read it while the people that don't think Twitter is useful will just ignore the link. Oh well.
For those of you that use Twitter, how do you convince people that they should be on it?
And for those that don't use it, why don't you? For the reasons I state above, or for other reasons?
