  • Update 2: If you're a fan of wine you should probably check out Cork'd, a social network / review site for wines. Here's a TechCrunch review of the newly relaunched and revamped site. I assume Mark / Devon and Lizzie are the only ones that read this site and care about wine...
  • Update: So You Think You Can Dance has added Adam Shankman as the official third judge. So no more weekly guest judges. I actually kind of like this move.
  • I use map applications and websites (Google Maps, MapQuest, Garmin GPS in-car units, etc) a lot. I like to get to places on time and I like to eventually know where I'm going without using the maps. But the one thing that has _always_ bugged me about map apps and websites is the live traffic reporting sucks. I spent the money on a Garmin GPS in-car unit and while I do like it a lot, the traffic reporting just isn't that good. I want actual, real-time reports. Anyway, there has been a lot of talk about the TomTom iPhone app release. However, Navigon has pulled ahead of its competitors with an announcement (officially coming tomorrow) that it will be adding Live Traffic reporting to its apparently already solid iPhone app Mobile Navigator (iTunes link). The iPhone app is $89.99. Is anyone willing to pay that much? And would you pay that much if real-time traffic updates actually worked? I'm on the fence.
  • Seeing as how every week I see people creating Facebook groups about losing their cellphone and all their contacts, I figured I'd post this link to an iPhone / Blackberry application called IDrive. It's just an application that does a really good job of backing up your contacts. If you have an iPhone or Blackberry I would highly suggest doing something to ensure you don't lose everything if you lose / break your phone. One cool feature for IDrive is that you can backup your contacts on a Blackberry and then restore them on an iPhone (and vice versa). I know not everyone has both a Blackberry and an iPhone...but I know some people do (*cough* Lizzie *cough*).
  • Today in "Some People Are Huge Idiots!" -- a teacher at Grant High School got arrested for giving alcohol and drugs to her students...sigh.
  • Check out the new Vampire Weekend album cover. As a former professional Contra player, I like the name of the album...but the picture of the girl is...slightly...creepy(?).

Also, where are my guest posters?! Not so easy to actually post is it?
